Arrived at one Stanford University, Saturday, September 11th.
Met roommates. Three girls: one econ, one law, one education (!) teacher's program.
Decorated room and unpacked in an effort not to live in a lifeless concrete box.
Obligatory Target trip.
Ate delicious foods #1 and #2 with parents.
Attended first Stanford party at the apartment of Asa, brother of Rae, accompanied by Fran from FES.
Met many people but remember few. Got frustrated with throwback to college attitude and seeming invisibility.
Slept.
Drove parents to airport.
Went on an angst-reducing run.
Ate delicious food #3 with education roommate.
Called four friends. Reached zero.
Call returned from Kristen. Talked for quite a while. Realized there is no cell reception in my apartment.
Spent the duration of the day doing really nothing.
Houston tomorrow, back Thursday. Will deal with loneliness and seeming invisibility then, but not until then.
