Owen: honestly like every time i listen to the radio i catch myself thinking, DANG we would have an awesome time dancing to this in our living room
Today I had the magnificent fortune of getting to talk at length with two of my three amazing roomies, Owen and Meredith. To make things better, Meredith is coming to Portland to visit me on Friday! I've also been enjoying a humorous mini-email chain with Rae, Sabina, DB, and Luke. All of these things are good because they are oddly making me feel better about not going back to Yale. I haven't talked to a lot of Yalies this summer, but just these little trades of conversation make me feel better about future correspondence. Just like hanging out with Portland people makes me feel better about not losing all my friends.
But, of course, I'm still having separation anxiety. So to balance this anxiety, I'm making a mental list of the things that I'm excited about.
In no particular order...
1. My apartment.
2. The sunshine and palm tree situation.
3. My yoga class.
4. The Palo Alto Farmer's Market.
5. My Quarter (and beyond) of Sustainable Omnivorey.
6. The organic food market on the first floor of my building.
7. Coinless laundry.
8. My advisor.
9. Being close to San Francisco. And by that token, being close to my friends who live in S.F.
10. Continuing to be on the West Coast.
11. Palo Alto's cuteness in general.
12. Having my car at school.
That's all I can think of right now. I've been on the computer for a long time and it's making my lap warm. On the bright side, my thumb feels less sprained so you can probably stop worrying about that. Or at least worry about it a little bit less.
And in closing...
Owen: us us us!
